Five-Ingredient Cereal Bars

Yields: 9 Servings Prep Time: 15 minute. Total Time: 1 Hour.

Here are the simple steps to make Five-Ingredient Cereal Bars with five ingredients.

1 c. old fashioned rolled oats 1/2 c. honey 1/2 c. smooth peanut butter (or any nut or seed butter) 1 tbsp. coconut oil 3 1/2 c. cereal of choice .

Heat oven to 350°F. Line a 9-by-9-inch baking pan with parchment, leaving an overhang on two sides. Scatter oats on a rimmed baking sheet and bake until toasty, 10 to 15 minutes.


Place honey, nut butter, and coconut oil in a pot over low heat and stir until throughly combined and warmed through, about 2 minutes.

Place the cereal and oats in a large bowl and stir to combine.  Pour the warm peanut butter mixture over the cereal and stir to coat the dry ingredients thoroughly.

Place the mixture into the parchment-lined 9-by-9-inch baking pan, gently pressing down to even it. Freeze the mixture for at least 45 minutes.

 Remove the bars from the pan, transfer to a cutting board and, using a serrated knife, cut into bars.
